We held the world premiere of IONIQ 3, the newest member of our electric mobility vision, at Milan Design Week.
With IONIQ 3, which will be produced at our İzmit plant, we are bringing the IONIQ family into the compact hatchback segment. As the second domestically produced electric vehicle in Türkiye, this model clearly shows how far our country has come in electric vehicle production.
Developed with an “Aero Hatch” design approach, IONIQ 3 combines aerodynamic efficiency, a spacious interior, and user‑focused technologies in a balanced way. With this model, we are offering the Android Automotive OS‑based Pleos Connect infotainment system in a Hyundai vehicle in Europe for the first time.
IONIQ 3 was developed with European urban use and daily mobility needs in mind. Built on the E‑GMP platform, the model offers two battery options—standard range and long range—providing a balanced combination of range, efficiency, and charging performance.
Sales will start in September, in line with Europe
We will begin mass production of the model at our İzmit plantin August. We plan to export IONIQ 3, Türkiye’s second domestically produced electric vehicle, to more than 40 countries and to start sales in Türkiye at the same time as in Europe, in September.
We believe that this production journey, which begins in İzmit, represents an important milestone for both Türkiye’s automotive industry and the transformation toward electric mobility.
