1997

Accent

As the first model produced in Türkiye, Accent also stood out as the first vehicle fully developed by Hyundai. Initially introduced in 1994 to replace the Excel, its first generation was manufactured in Türkiye between 1997 and 1999.

1997

Grace

Grace, which played a significant role for Hyundai in the light commercial vehicle category, was first launched globally in 1986. Production in Türkiye began in 1997 and continued uninterrupted until 2006. The model also served as an inspiration for the Starex that followed in later years.

2000

Accent

Accent, a key model in Hyundai’s globalization strategy and one of its best-selling cars across different regions, was reshaped in Türkiye in 2000. Production of the second generation continued between 2000 and 2005.

2002

Starex

One of Hyundai’s best-known light commercial vehicles, the Starex was first introduced in 1997. Produced in Türkiye between 2002 and 2007, the model stood out as a multi-functional model, designed for both commercial and family use.

2005

Accent

The third-generation Accent, launched in 2005, received “Car of the Year” awards in Russia and Canada, while also earning multiple honors in the Middle East and the United States. In Türkiye, production of the renewed Accent continued until 2012.

2007

Matrix

Introduced in 2001 and styled by Italian design house Pininfarina, the Matrix gained attention as a model that reflected a clear European touch and became popular in the European market. Produced in Türkiye from 2007 to 2010, the crossover stood out with its diesel engine.

2010

i20

First launched globally in 2008, the i20’s journey in Türkiye began in 2010. Produced until 2014, the first generation i20 was one of Hyundai’s models developed specifically for the European market. Designed in Germany and manufactured in both Türkiye and India, the i20 also served as an inspiration for the World Rally Championship.

2013

i10

First introduced globally in 2008, the i10 was developed with the European market in mind and was essentially designed to replace Hyundai’s Atos. In Türkiye, production began with the second generation. Between 2013 and 2019, the i10 was manufactured locally and earned numerous awards from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Germany.

2014

i20

In the small car category, the i20 was first produced in 2010. By 2014, the model was renewed. Manufactured in Türkiye between 2014 and 2020, the updated i20 won multiple design and performance awards from Germany during this period.

2019

i10

First produced in Türkiye in 2013, the i10 was renewed and reintroduced to consumers in 2019. The third-generation i10, which is still being manufactured at Hyundai’s İzmit plant, maintains its strong market position as Hyundai’s city-focused model.

2020

i20

The i20, one of the most popular cars in its class especially in Europe, was renewed for the third time since production began in Türkiye, with the new model rolling off the line in 2020. Still in production today, the i20 received numerous awards from Germany and India, particularly in 2020 and 2021.

2021

i20N

Hyundai’s performance-oriented model, the i20 N, stands out with its sporty design while also making a mark with exports from Türkiye to distant markets such as Australia. Inspired by the i20 Coupe used in the WRC, the ‘N’ refers to Hyundai’s R&D center in Namyang, Korea, and its test track in Nürburgring, Germany.

2021

Bayon

Bayon, the first B-SUV model produced in Türkiye, takes its name from the city of Bayonne in southwestern France. Developed by Hyundai primarily for the European market, this model also offers advantages for narrow streets and urban driving.

2026

IONIQ 3

IONIQ 3 redefined compact electric mobility with its Aero Hatch design. Developed on the E‑GMP platform, it became HMTR’s first locally produced electric model, offering 496 km range, a spacious interior and fast charging for comfortable urban driving.
